Guerra de las materias

I untitled this show “Guerra de las materias” (materials war) literally because I have felt the need for my art to be freer and let the material being more uncontrolled as a mark of the instantaneity. I want the spectator to feel the brush on the painting and the fingers on the clay as a part of the creative process. Figuratively “Guerra de la materias” appeals to a close future populated by masked men living ordinary lives. The esthetic is influenced by my childhood’s TV programs and a certain apprehension of what will be our life in the future if we continue treating the earth as we do.
